A Bit About Me

Dr Keating is a highly qualified Clinical Psychologist with a specialisation in paediatric neuropsychology. As an associate with NeuroKids, she brings extensive experience in neurorehabilitation, supporting children and young people with neurological conditions, neurodevelopmental challenges, and acquired brain injuries. Dr Keating is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care, helping clients and their families navigate complex rehabilitation journeys.

 

Dr Keating’s expertise includes conducting neuropsychological assessments, formulating individualised care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions. Her therapeutic approaches draw from frameworks such as Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), ensuring tailored and effective care. Dr Keating brings extensive expertise in conducting diagnostic assessments, including being ADOS-trained for evaluating social communication disorders. She is particularly skilled in addressing the psychological and cognitive challenges associated with neurodevelopmental disorders and acquired injuries. Dr Keating aims to provide innovative, evidence-based support to children and their families, fostering resilience and recovery.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Keating has held senior roles across leading healthcare organisations, including NHS Forth Valley and NHS Lothian. She has worked in paediatric neuropsychology teams supporting children in haematology-oncology and general neuropsychology services, as well as in a paediatric psychology role in intensive care with children and families. Her collaborative work with interdisciplinary teams ensures holistic, family-centered support for each child

Dr Keating holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychology from University College London. Her academic achievements, coupled with her research contributions on neurorehabilitation and developmental psychology, highlight her commitment to advancing the field.
